Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be 18 years of age or older to use the Service.

The Service is intended for coaches and other authorized adults located in the United States. By using the Service, you represent that you are located in the United States and are authorized to upload and use the information you submit.

2. The Service

The Scout Deck helps users organize uploaded game files into scouting reports, summary statistics, spray charts, workbooks, and related outputs.

We may add, remove, modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

3. User Content and Uploads

You retain responsibility for the files, data, and other content you upload.

• You must own or control the necessary rights to upload and use your content.
• You must have all permissions needed to submit the information through the Service.
• Your content must not violate law, privacy rights, intellectual property rights, or contractual restrictions.

You grant The Scout Deck a limited right to host, process, reproduce, and use your content solely as needed to operate, maintain, and improve the Service.

4. Team-Based Account Use

An account is intended for use by a coach and that coach's own team operations. You may not share account access with other teams, and you may not use a single account for more than two teams unless The Scout Deck expressly approves otherwise. You may only use the Service for teams for which you are an official coach or are otherwise authorized to act.

5. Acceptable Use

• Do not upload content you are not authorized to use.
• Do not violate any law or regulation.
• Do not interfere with or disrupt the Service.
• Do not probe, scrape, reverse engineer, or attempt unauthorized access to the Service or its systems.
• Do not use the Service for abusive, fraudulent, or harmful purposes.

We may suspend or terminate access if we believe these Terms have been violated.

6. Accounts and Access

You are responsible for maintaining control of your login email account and for activity that occurs through your account.

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access where necessary for security, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, operational reasons, or Terms enforcement.

7. Paid Subscriptions

• Current subscription price: $9/month
• Recurring billing continues unless canceled
• Cancellation is effective at the end of the current billing period
• No refunds

We may change pricing, billing structure, features, or subscription offerings in the future. Any such changes will apply prospectively as permitted by law.

We may also offer promotions or free trial periods in the future, and additional terms may apply.

8. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize the applicable payment processor to charge your payment method according to your selected subscription plan and renewal terms.

We are not responsible for payment processor errors, banking issues, or delays caused by third-party billing systems.

9. Accuracy and Use of Results

The Scout Deck is designed to produce useful and generally reliable scouting summaries, statistics, and visualizations from uploaded game files. However, errors, omissions, mismatches, or interpretation issues can still occur.

Coaches are responsible for reviewing outputs and double-checking any important statistic, warning, or conclusion before relying on it for game planning, lineup decisions, pitching decisions, or other decision-making.

10. Availability and No Guarantee of Results

We aim to provide a reliable service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that every report, workbook, or warning will be complete, accurate, or fit for a particular purpose.

11. File Retention

• Source game files are retained for 24 hours after processing.
• Downloads are retained for 7 days after upload finalization.

You are responsible for downloading and retaining anything you want to keep before those windows expire.

12. Account Deletion

You may request account deletion by emailing support@thescoutdeck.com.

Deletion requests are currently handled manually. We aim to complete deletion within 7 days, subject to operational limits, legal obligations, fraud prevention, and temporary backup retention.

13. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, branding, design, and underlying materials, is owned by or licensed to The Scout Deck and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

These Terms do not give you ownership of the Service itself.

14. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Scout Deck disclaims warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Scout Deck will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue, goodwill, or business opportunities arising out of or related to the Service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total liability of The Scout Deck for any claim arising out of or related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to The Scout Deck in the 12 months before the claim arose.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we do, we may update the effective date and post the revised version on the site. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
